Occuptaion: Paladin/Dark KnightAt a young age, Dilianos lost his parents in the Dragonsong War during an assault on Ishgard. Only knowing his first name, he was an orphan who lived most of his childhood in the Brume with his younger sibling Lissa, and was the sole provider for the both of them until he was found by a free paladin of Ishgard named Fierabras de Rolandmont. Granted the last name of Schwarzwind by the paladin, Dilianos studied under Fierabras while she took care of the two, until Lissa succumbed to disease. His training complete, he was knighted to serve under House Dzemael of Ishgard at the command of Lord Elbertant of Dzemael, with Fierabras leaving the young knight proudly. The two became blood brothers and fast friends until Dilianos lost the young lord in a Dravanian attack upon the Holy See.Having no further connections, mournful of Elbertant's death, and spiteful of House Dzemael as a whole, Dilianos silently renounced his knighthood and left Ishgard behind, becoming a free paladin. He later experienced a crisis of faith and found a new path as a Dark Knight, choosing to adopting their beliefs and methods. For a time, he traveled with a merry band of adventurers, the three of them named Micah, Donorah, and Risala. It was short-lived, however, as the newly christened Dark Knight killed Risala in a terrible accident, with his friends removing themselves from Dilianos altogether.Dilianos reverted back to his old ways as a Paladin, but found himself haunted by the literal shadow of his past, a reflection of the failures and losses wearing his own face and clad in the same armor he wore as a Dark Knight. He now seeks reconciliation and absolution for his past, walking a road with no end in sight.He currently serves as a knight under the House of Termon Hallows.

Hooks

- IshgardianHaving lived in Ishgard for most of his life, Dilianos only remembers what life was like before the end of the Dragonsong War. He lived in both cultural spheres of Ishgard, from the poverty-stricken streets of the Brume to the lavish lifestyle of House Dzemael. He is not aware of the revelations about his Ishgardian blood nor the restructuring of the Ishgardian government; only that Nidhogg had finally been put to rest.- AdventuringDilianos has many stories of his time as an adventurer, and still continues the trade to this day. He has no qualms about telling many of his tales, such as herding a troublesome chocobo to its ranch, protecting a dragon from an angry village mob, and escorting a spoiled Lalafellin child through the streets of Ul'dah. Regardless, so long as the job is "morally sound," he does not mind taking it up to be of service as a knight.- KnighthoodDilianos read many chivalric tales in his youth and continues to do so when he has the time. He was inspired by the various heroes of Ishgard, from its stalwart knights to its renowned Dragoons. He even admired those who inherited the title of Azure Dragoon, an honor worthy of few. However, there were none worthy of his admiration than Fierabras, a living example of how a knight ought to act, behave, and perform its deeds for the people.- GladiatorshipFor a time, Dilianos fought in the Bloodsands in exhibition matches in order to better relearn his craft as a paladin and learn new tricks as a gladiator. He made some few acquaintances there and some steadfast rivals, but he only fought within the arena for a short time, being a fighter of little renown. Sometimes he will return to accrue some gil, but it is not a main source of funds for him.-The PathDilianos is reluctant to bring up his tenure as a Dark Knight due to the bloody events he experienced. While he has some familiarity with the Path, he is not as experienced as most other Dark Knights. He is also often times plagued by the shade's own voice. He has allowed it to come to the surface and speak its own voice, but is still hesitant on letting it come out completely.
